Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Sleep & Roots. These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sleep & Roots website (sleepandroots.com) and any call, consultation, sleep plan, digital guide, or other service you book or purchase from us (“Services”). By booking a call, purchasing a guide, or engaging our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. Please read them carefully before booking or purchasing. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please don’t use our Services.

1. About Sleep & Roots

Sleep & Roots is a child sleep and gentle parenting consultancy founded by Daiana, offering guidance on healthy, respectful sleep habits for babies and children ages 0–10. Sleep & Roots is operated from Sweden.

Company details (registered legal name, organization number, and registered address) will be added here once finalized with our legal and accounting team.

2. Not a Medical Service

Sleep & Roots offers guidance on habits, routines, and gentle sleep strategies. It isn’t a medical service and doesn’t replace your child’s pediatrician or any other qualified healthcare provider. Nothing we share with you, verbally or in writing, is medical, psychological, or therapeutic advice, and it should not be treated as such. If anything comes up during our work together that could have a medical component, like snoring or pauses in breathing, ongoing pain, unresolved reflux, feeding difficulties, developmental concerns, or any other health issue, we will always recommend checking in with your pediatrician or the right specialist first. Your child’s health and safety always come before any sleep plan, and you should always follow safe sleep guidelines recommended by your healthcare provider when implementing any strategy we discuss.

3. Who Can Use Our Services

Our Services are intended for parents and legal guardians who are at least 18 years old. By booking a call or purchasing a Service, you confirm that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child (or children) involved, or that you have their authority to make decisions about their care, and that the information you give us is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.

4. Our Services

We currently offer:

  • Free discovery call – a short, no-obligation call to talk about your family and decide together whether, and how, we might work together.
  • Digital guides – downloadable PDF guides on specific sleep topics, for personal use by the purchasing family.
  • Single Consultation – a one-time, focused session for a specific question or a tune-up after a plan.
  • Personalized sleep plans (“The Extended Path” and “The Weekly Path”) – a series of sessions built around your family, including a personalized sleep plan, follow-up check-ins, and WhatsApp support on the days described for your path.

The exact content, structure, and pricing of each Service is described on our Our Services page and may be updated from time to time. The Services, pricing, and any discounts in effect at the time you book or purchase are the ones that apply to you.

5. Booking Your Free Call

Free discovery calls are booked through our online scheduling tool. You’re responsible for selecting a time that works for you in your own time zone and for joining the call on time. If you’re unable to join or need to reschedule, please let us know as soon as possible through the scheduling link in your confirmation email. Booking a paid Service requires you to read and accept these Terms, including the medical disclaimer in Section 2, before your booking is confirmed.

6. Fees and Payment

Fees for paid Services are as listed on our website, or as otherwise agreed with you in writing, at the time of booking. All prices are shown in the currency displayed at checkout and, unless stated otherwise, are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Payment is due in full at the time of booking, unless we’ve agreed to different payment terms with you in writing (for example, splitting a personalized plan into installments). We may change our prices at any time; a change won’t affect a Service you’ve already booked and paid for.

7. Cancellations, Rescheduling and No-Shows

  • Free discovery call: you can reschedule or cancel at any time before the scheduled time through the confirmation email or scheduling link.
  • Single Consultation and sessions within a personalized plan: we ask for at least 48 hours’ notice to reschedule at no extra cost. Sessions cancelled or rescheduled with less than 48 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, may be treated as used and are not eligible for a refund or a free reschedule.

We understand that emergencies happen. If something genuinely unexpected comes up, reach out to us and we’ll do our best to find a solution together.

8. Refunds

  • Digital guides are delivered instantly on purchase and, because of this, are non-refundable, except where the file is defective or you were charged in error.
  • Single Consultation: fully refundable if cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled session; non-refundable once the session has taken place.
  • Personalized sleep plans: fully refundable if you cancel before your first official session (the “sleep plan session”). Once that session has taken place, the fee for the sessions already delivered is non-refundable; we’ll agree with you in good faith on a fair resolution for any sessions that haven’t happened yet, on a case-by-case basis.

Refunds, where due, are issued to the original payment method within a reasonable time after we confirm eligibility.

9. Your Responsibilities

To get the most out of working together, we ask that you:

  • Give us accurate, complete information about your child and your family’s situation, and let us know if anything changes;
  • Follow safe sleep guidelines from your pediatrician or relevant health authority at all times, regardless of anything discussed in a session or guide;
  • Use your own judgment when applying any guidance we share, since you know your child and your family best, and the final decisions about your child’s care are always yours; and
  • Complete sleep diaries and questionnaires honestly and on time, where these are part of your plan, since they directly affect the quality of the guidance we can give you.

10. Communication and Support

Where a Service includes WhatsApp support, that support is available on the days described for your path (Monday to Friday) and is meant for questions related to your sleep plan, not for emergencies. We aim to respond within one business day. Sleep & Roots is not an emergency or crisis service; if your child needs urgent medical attention, please contact your pediatrician or local emergency services immediately.

11. No Guarantee of Results

Every child and family is different, and sleep is influenced by many factors outside our control. While we bring our training and experience to every family we work with, we cannot guarantee specific results, a particular timeline, or that your child will sleep a certain way by the end of a plan.

12. Testimonials

Testimonials and reviews shared on our website or social media are from real clients, shared with their permission. They reflect one family’s individual experience; results vary from family to family.

13. Intellectual Property

All guides, plans, worksheets, and other materials we provide are the property of Sleep & Roots (or licensed to us) and are protected by copyright. When you purchase a guide or a plan, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use it for your own family. You may not copy, resell, share, or republish our materials, in whole or in part, without our written permission.

14. Confidentiality and Your Data

We treat the information you share with us about your child and your family as confidential, and we only use it to provide our Services to you. For details on how we collect, use, and store personal data, and about cookies used on this website, please see our Privacy Policy.

15. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party tools to run parts of our business, including scheduling software, messaging apps like WhatsApp, and payment processors. Your use of those tools is also subject to their own terms and privacy policies, and we encourage you to review them. We’re not responsible for the availability or performance of third-party services outside our control.

16. Respectful Communication

We’re committed to a respectful, judgment-free relationship with every family we work with, and we ask for the same in return. We reserve the right to end our working relationship, without a refund for sessions already delivered, in cases of abusive, threatening, or discriminatory behavior toward Daiana or anyone else on our team.

17. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Sleep & Roots’ total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or our Services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific Service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.

18. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time, for example as our Services evolve. We’ll post the updated version on this page with a new “last updated” date. If you continue to use our Services after an update, that means you accept the new Terms. If you have an ongoing plan when we make a material change, the Terms that applied when you booked will continue to apply to that plan.

19. Governing Law

These Terms, and any dispute arising from them or from our Services, are governed by the laws of Sweden.

20. Contact Us

If you have any questions about these Terms, the easiest way to reach us is by booking a call through this website, or by messaging us on Instagram at @sleepandroots.
